Legislative Breakfast 2008

The 2008 Legislative Breakfast was dedicated to the theme of combating Anti-Semitism and the importance of protecting the sanctity of cemeteries. US State Department Special Envoy Gregg Rickman gave the keynote address.  Envoy Rickman was appointed by President Bush as Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism and is highly regarded for his strong and passionate leadership to this mission.

It also featured Senator Schumer, Mayor Bloomberg, Congressman Nalder and many other relevant legislators.

Warren Miller, the Chairman of the Commission for the Preservation of America’s Heritage Abroad received the National Leadership Award in recognition of the Commission’s commitment to the protection of cemeteries abroad, an issue of grave concern to the Jewish community.
