Celebrating the opening of a new residence home in Brooklyn, New York.

The new residence is a state-of-the-art residence for eight young women, located in the Boro Park section of Brooklyn. With the creation of this residence, Human Care Services is continuing to enhance the quality of life of the developmentally disabled in the community by providing personalized, individualized services. Their assistance will allow these women to integrate into the community and be accepted as valued members.

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony for this home, Human Care Services was joined by various government and community officials, notably the Honorary Diana Jones Ritter, Commissioner of OMRDD, Kathy Broderick, Associate Commissioner of OMRDD, Donna Limiti, Director of BDDSO, Sheila Gholson, Deputy Director for Community Services at the BDDSO, Councilman Simcha Felder, Mr. Bernard Spitzer, Board President at Human Care Services and directors of numerous local agencies. Families of individuals who receive services from Human Care Services were there as well. These individuals expressed their support for the agency and its dynamic Executive Director, Esther Lustig. Rabbi Joseph Hershkowitz, a parent of one of the girls in the home, expressed his appreciation to Human Care Services for the extraordinary level of care provided to his daughter. All underscored the importance of this positive development for the girls and the Boro Park community as a whole.

Producing an event entails much more than just ordering food and inviting the guests.
