JCC Marine Park - Legislative Breakfast 2009

The Jewish Community Council of Marine Park, under the executive leadership of Jeff Leb and Shea Rubenstein hosted their Inaugural Legislative Breakfast on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at the Kingsway Jewish Center, located at 2810 Nostrand Avenue in Brooklyn. The Legislative Breakfast created an opportunity for the community to share its vision for our city’s and state’s future with those assembled at the breakfast.

The Rabbinic leadership of the Marine Park participated in the program and featured Rabbi Baruch Pesach Mendelsohn, Rav of Khilah Marine Park who delivered the Invocation and Divrei Bracha. Rabbi Chaim Halberstam, Rav of Sha’arei Zion of Flatbash received the Rabbinical Leadership Award.

Prominent officials that participated included: Deputy Mayor Ed Skyler; Congressman Anthony Weiner; Israel Consul General in NY, Asaf Shariv; Vice Mayor of Jerusalem Yitzchak Pindrus; State Senators Marty Golden and Carl Kruger; Assemblyman Alan Maisel; Councilman Lew Fidler; Deputy Inspector Frank Cangiarella of the 63rd Precinct. David G. Greenfield, Director and Counsel, and TEACH NYS.
