HASC Center Albany Day 2009

HASC Center & its leadership in its quest to provide additional services to the greater community traveled to Albany, the capital of New York State where they met and interacted with various members of the State Legislature as well as senior officials of Governor David Paterson’s Executive Chamber.  The purpose of this Advocacy Day was to articulate both the concerns and aspirations of parents who are frantically seeking services for their children and have turned to HASC Center for help. Due to the severe budget crisis that New York State finds itself in, a halt has been imposed upon the approval of projects by the office of OMRDD.  In an attempt to impress upon the powers to be the critical nature of the services that parents are so eager for the State to approve, HASC Center decided to directly advocate for State Government to find the resources which will allow for the proposed programs to become a reality.
