The luncheon on Capitol Hill paid tribute to the life-saving and humanitarian efforts of EFRAT. The luncheon allowed members of the United States Congress to honor Dr. Schussheim and various prominent supporters of EFRAT. It also gave EFRAT the opportunity to pay homage to the United States of America for its historic support and dedication to the people and State of Israel. Another unique aspect of the day was a tour of the United States Holocaust Museum, which perpetuates the memory of the six million Jews who perished in the Holocaust, of which 1.2 million were children. Visiting the museum was appropriate for EFRAT supporters to further acknowledge the bond between the United States and EFRAT, an organization which has spent the last 30 years in their tireless efforts saving precious lives in Israel.
