Beitar

Since the times of Bar Kochba (63 C.E.), the city of Beitar has been synonymous with Jewish history and the indomitable Jewish spirit that refuses to succumb to outside forces.
Beitar
Two thousand years ago, after the destruction of the second Temple, Beitar was the last Jewish stronghold to fall under oppressive Roman rule. Today this beautiful metropolis is now home to 35,000 people and growing every day!  Beitar boasts a municipal jurisdiction of 11,000 acres. Located on the old Green Line that separated Israel from Jordan prior to 1967, it sits on a strategic geographic location - on the crossroads between the Ezion Bloc and the Jerusalem Corridor. Modern Beitar is a beautiful and thriving city and is a destination for so many new families, with hundreds hailing from New York and all around the United States.  Projections predict that over 100,000 residents will call this home within the next ten years.  It’s populace represents virtually every segment of Israel’s society where one can hear Russian, Farsi, French, Yiddish and English spoken, a reflection of the diversity of those that have made Beitar their home.  Like its biblical predecessors, Beitar stands for resilience in the face of adversity, growth in the face of challenges, and most importantly; tradition, faith and family.

Mayor Pindrus, Israel’s youngest mayor, said in anticipation of visitors and tourists from abroad, “I look forward to welcoming everyone to the city of Beitar, where you will have the opportunity to witness the phenomenal growth of a city which helps ensure that Yesha will remain forever a part of the Land of Israel.” He added, “We are not here for ourselves as much as we are here for Am Yisroel.  Our presence – and more importantly our growth, B”H tells our neighbors – and the world, that we as a people will not just rise to a challenge, but prevail over it as well.”
