Albany Day 2009

In an effort to secure much needed funding for special disabilities population before Governor David Paterson and his counterparts in the NYS Legislature, Meyer Werthheimer traveled up to Albany to meet with State officials.  Advocacy is the hallmark of American democracy, and lobbying government on behalf of our consumers in an attempt to enhance their quality of life is a fundamental responsibility according to HAMASPIK Executive Director Meyer Wertheimer, who passionately presented a merit based argument to State Government officials on behalf of the special needs population. Mr. Wertheimer, articulated the importance of funding the various programs designed to serve the special needs population on whose behalf HAMASPIK has dedicated its mission.
